In 1986 Karsten D. Wick became founding partner of IIC Germany, as well as founding Chairman of the IIC Partners Group.
He layed the foundation for successful development of the world-wide operating organisation of IIC Partners, which today is one of the worldwide top ten Executive Search companies.
In his 42 years of business experience he has advised well-known clients such as midsized companies, as well as major corporations in industry, banking, trade, and private and public services, with focus on the placement of upper-management positions, supervisory board mandates, and concerning strategic and tactical managerial challenges.
He grew up in Oldenburg and completed his technical and commercial apprenticeship in the electrical industry in Hannover. Thereafter, he studied Economics and Business Administration at the universities of Mannheim, Würzburg and Stanford, USA.
After successful completion of his university degrees, he started his career in the AEG-Telefunken corporation as a trainee in 1968. There he filled leadership positions in sales and marketing in Germany, France and the USA for many years. Afterwards, he held office in the board of directors of BBC.
